INVASIVE PLANTS WORKDAY – Bob Gale, MountainTrue
Location: Visitor Center at the High Falls Access Area
MountainTrue’s Ecologist & Public Lands Director, Bob Gale, and Forest Keeper Coordinator, Rhys Burns, will coordinate this event restoring an area of the Forest being invaded by non-native invasive plant species.
MountainTrue will give instruction on how to identify and control these invasive plants, which displace native plant species important to wildlife.
All gloves, tools, and equipment will be provided, but bring your own work gloves if you have them. Also bring water and, if you wish, snacks. Long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and old shoes or hiking boots (no open shoes or sandals) are required. Come join in and help restore the DuPont State Forest’s native ecology!
