On September 23, 2023 (National Public Lands Day), Friends of DuPont Forest hosted the 6th annual Dupont Forest Festival.

Nearly 800 people came to celebrate and explore all the ways people find adventure in DuPont Forest. We had a mix of drop-in activities, demonstrations, group tours, and hikes.

The number one goal for the Forest Festival is to teach the people to love the Forest. The actives weave in education about reducing the impacts to the Forest, waterfall safety, how to share the trails with other users, and Forest conservation. Each event was led by an expert volunteer and representative from our partner organizations.

This year we partnered with iDaph events and hosted the sold out TreeTops Trail Races the morning of the Festival. Congratulations to all the runners! We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Thank you to our sponsor, Henderson County Tourism Development Authority, and all the volunteers that made it happen.

See you next year! Save the date – September 28, 2024.
