SINGLE TRACK CLOSED
In response to recent winter weather, DuPont State Recreational Forest has closed all single track trails effective immediately.
Parking lots and gravel roads remain open, but currently have significant amounts of ice. Visitors who choose to come to the Forest are advised to use caution and consult the DuPont Forest website for more information.
TURKEY KNOB BRIDGE CLOSED
The bridge located on Turkey Knob Trail approximately one-half mile from the Pinnacle Mountain gate is closed. The trail will still be open up to the bridge and can still be used as an “out-and-back trail” as far as the bridge.
TRAIL CLOSURES
Temporary Trail Closures / Advisories Include:
- Grassy Creek Bridge is out and repairs are not expected until sometime in 2026.
- Buck Forest Road between Lake Imaging Road and Conservation Road
- Triple Falls Stairs
- Flatwoods Trail
The following trails will remain closed:
- Barn Trail
- Bridal Overlook Trail
- Cart Trail
- Grassy Meadow Trail
- Joanna Road – from Grassy Creek Trail to Pinnacle Mountain Road
- Kids Bike Trail
- Lake View Loop
- Nooks Trail
- Poplar Hill Loop – north half
- Sandy Trail
- Stone Mountain Trail
- Table Rock Trail
