Chad Edwards was born and raised in Polk County, NC. He graduated from Appalachian State and East Carolina University where he earned his MBA and a Master’s in Accounting, respectively. After graduating and passing the CPA exam he moved to Virginia to work for KPMG as an auditor. In 2015, when an opportunity to work for HomeTrust Bank as their financial reporting manager opened up, he didn’t hesitate. “It was a dream come true to work at a great company and be back home in the mountains of Western NC,” he says.

While getting reacclimated to the area he was first introduced to DuPont Forest and all its splendor. “At first, I was just happy to have found such a great place to hike and bike, but after volunteering with my son’s Cub Scout pack on several litter pick up days, I wanted to do more to help keep DuPont Forest a wonderful place for many years to come.” When he is not working, you will find him outdoors most of the time, barefoot and enjoying the company of family and friends biking, hiking, swimming, and most recently a go at climbing.
