Miriam Pflug, is a native South Carolinian, growing up on a farm in the Ridge area of South Carolina. She graduated from Columbia College and the American Bankers Association School of Marketing.
Miriam began her career with the Farm Credit system in 1977 and was employed in various capacities including finance, policy development, implementation and marketing. Her career began in Columbia, SC and she later transferred to the AgSouth Farm Credit office in Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her work, Miriam was very involved in civic and professional organizations. She previously served as President of North Spartanburg Rotary Club, Credit Professional International, SC Cooperative Council, SC Ag Council and numerous other supporting roles in local and statewide organizations. She is a graduate of Leadership Spartanburg.
Upon retirement, Miriam and her husband, Rob, relocated to Cedar Mountain, North Carolina. She enjoys hiking, biking and the cool mountain breezes. They have one daughter, a Green River Preserve enthusiast and alumni, who resides in Boston.
