Tips for better Hiking in DuPont

  • Parking lots are first-come, first-served with some reserved areas for trailers.
  • We suggest arriving early morning or late afternoon.
  • Pack it in and pack it out—please be prepared to take your trash with you. There are no trash cans in the Forest.
  • Plan ahead and know your route.
  • Hiking in flip-flops is not recommended.
  • Camping and open fires are prohibited.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash; no matter how obedient your dog may be. Tickets are routinely given to dog owners who ignore this rule.
